[Eng] Troubleshooting Guides
MTest Android POS's built-in system:
The POS machine with software attached can self-test all hardware devices that come with the POS machine including:
Touch screen
Built-in thermal printer
Wifi internet
…
By using the App “POS Steward” in the Check Device section we can know if the error is hardware or not
Test NFC Reader
NFC Reader works like a physical keyboard, so just plug the NFC Reader into the usb port, open the Calculator app available in the POS, swipe the card. If the Reader works well, the system will automatically display a series of numbers in the Calculator app
Test Needle Printer TM-U220
The TM-U220 Needle Printer works over the network. Conditions POS machines and Tablets must be able to connect to port 9100 of this dot matrix printer.
Can use test method via Telnet port 9100 to check (If you want to test from Android devices, you can download the app “Terminal Emulator for Android” and run this app. Then there will be a console to be able to perform tasks like PING or Telnet to test)
In unedited default Android POS machines
The system is set up by default if there is a physical Keyboard attached (in this case, NFC Reader), the system will not turn on the keyboard on screen. If the keyboard on screen doesn't pop up, ask for: Setting → Language and Input → Real Keyboard → Enable “Show Virtual Keyboard”
